THREATS TO THE PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING OF HORSES IN DIFFERENT FORMS OF USE. DR SUE DYSON’S ETHOGRAM OF PAIN IN HORSES RIDDEN UNDER SADDLE
Michał Dobrowolski has been working in the field of saddle fitting since 2010. He completed training at First Thought Equine Ltd in England, led by David Kempsell, as well as SaddleFit4Life in Germany, led by Jochen Schleese. He also assisted Alison Binet, a member of the British Society of Master Saddlers with a Higher National Diploma in Saddlery and 25 years of experience in saddle consultancy, during visits to stables and equestrian centres. In 2017, Michał graduated from PCKZ Warsaw as an Equine Physiotherapist. He has also participated in 15 equestrian training courses with Elaine Butler (Ride With Your Mind) in Poland and England.Michał combines reliable and up-to-date knowledge of saddle fitting with expertise in physiotherapy and an understanding of equestrian biomechanics. This integrated approach allows him to identify issues affecting both the horse’s back and the saddle, and to find effective solutions even in more challenging cases. The welfare of the horse is always his top priority. Since 2015, he has also been actively involved as a volunteer animal welfare inspector with OTOZ Animals, undertaking, among other activities, interventions concerning the inhumane treatment of horses.
